Schirach Fühler [SK003 Drei] (シェラハ・フューラー, Shieraha Fyuuraa, pronounced Shirock Fueller) is a Dark Magus and the third member of Schwarzkreuz, debuting in Rosenkreuzstilette ~Freudenstachel~. She is a strange woman who adores the notion of fighting, even more so than Trauare Wrede, is idolized by Doris Warmind due to having crafted her Fesselspirale, and has the tendency to act like an annoying older sister. She was previously a member of RKS's Special Forces Unit, though she left and joined Schwarzkreuz for reasons unknown.

Appearance[]

Schirach wears a gothic style of clothing which consists of a dark red trench coat with purple linings over a black bodysuit with dark blue linings. She also wears tights and dark red leather boots. Like Sichte Meister, Schirach is a very well-endowed woman. She has light-brown hair, brown eyes, and is one of the few characters to wear glasses. She uses a massive, over-sized hammer known as the Lichtfaust as her weapon of choice.

Character Profile[]

"What an airhead! I mean, changing the world? Protecting the Magi? Always with his silly little pipe dreams..."
—Schirach Fühler, Rosenkreuzstilette ~Freudenstachel~

A former member of the RKS, Schirach is a fairly mysterious woman with the personality of an annoying older sister. While she has dignified manners, her speech is crude and candid and forms a stark contrast with said manners. She loves battle to the point of obsession and is overjoyed to simply participate in a fight, regardless of whether she wins or not. She is willing to do whatever she considers necessary to get what she wants. She has a habit of often suggesting methods of violence as her way of having fun. This often unnerves other characters so much that they'd call her insane, as shown when Link Refraktia calls her a sicko and Freudia Neuwahl calls her a lunatic. She had been reported missing a few years ago, but suddenly reappears as a member of Schwarzkreuz. Schirach tends to wander around aimlessly all the time and is considered to be a drunk, as she sometimes questions herself on whether she drank too much as a random quote for when she is defeated in combat. She is also the one who created Doris's weapon, the Fesselspirale, and thus, is idolized by her.

Abilities[]

Schirach wields the proclaimed miracle power of the "Light Fist" Lichtfaust. Using her power, she can swing her huge hammer around with great strength and speed. She possesses abilities beyond simple human limitations.

Rosenkreuzstilette ~Freudenstachel~[]

Schirach plays a role in the kidnapping of Spiritia Rosenberg (who recognizes her as a former member of RKS and asks her where she's been and what she's doing in Zeppelin's Castle Grounds), who she captures with a floating Crane that drags her off to the High Chapel. Schirach tells Spiritia how naive as ever she is, revealing that she's with Schwarzkreuz and telling her that it's about time she finally got to meet the Pope before the Crane drags her away. She then has a conversation with Eifer Skute afterwards, telling her to keep "you-know-who" out of her way by waiting for her, saying that she'll be able to tell when she's coming by keeping her eyes peeled for frost magic.

She is later seen spying on Freudia Neuwahl through the viewing globe with the rest of Schwarzkreuz. She says she wants in on the action, leading Eifer to call her a vulture. Schirach suggests that they "get the party started", saying she and her colleagues should figure out who gets to attack Freudia first. Recht & Link Refraktia attempt to get them both to stop fighting each other, and Pamela Arwig tells them that Freudia would hardly matter to any of them while calling her a relic of the old ways and that they wouldn't have to worry about dealing with her.

Freudia encounters Schirach among the outskirts of the Battlefield and, like Spiritia, also recognizes her as a former RKS member and as a former member of its Special Forces Division. Schirach greets her and asks how Sichte, Grolla, and Doris are doing, and whether Freudia's happy to see her again or annoyed that she works for Schwarzkreuz now. Freudia calls Schirach despicable, leading the latter to consider her a smart cookie compared to Count Zeppelin, and considers his ideals of changing the world and protecting the Magi to be words of an airhead. Strudel replies that she likes Zeppelin's idea while Freudia mentions that he once told her long ago that those who immerse themselves in power will drown themselves in pain and that he had good reason not to give Schirach commands. Schirach considers both herself and Freudia to be "at the top of the food chain", claiming that it's only natural for weaklings and pacifists to die. Freudia says that Schirach is flattering herself as usual and claims that she's only gotten worse, which the latter claims is what Zeppelin would say about her. Schirach says she doesn't care about the Church's agenda and just wants to fight. Freudia asks her what would happen if RKS is destroyed, and she replies that she desires to fulfill Zeppelin's dying wish and shower in the blood of the Church's people as the sole survivor of the Magi's genocide. Freudia says that Schirach has always been a lunatic, and the latter asks her if she feels riled up for a fight. She tells Freudia that they're both going to have some fun, and from there, an intense and chaotic battle ensues.

After the fight, Schirach happily congratulates Freudia for giving her a real battle. Strudel curiously asks Freudia if Schirach is happy even though she lost and Freudia says that she's always been like that, not having a care in the world. Schirach says it truly was worth it to side with Schwarzkreuz. Freudia wants to ask Schirach some questions and pleads for her to be honest. Schirach, being in a good mood, gladly agrees to play along and asks if she wants to know what her measurements are while intending for her weight to be kept a secret. Freudia asks how many people are in Schwarzkreuz, which Schirach considers a tough question. She answers that Schwarzkreuz has five members, after which Freudia asks what the Pope wants to do with Spiritia, thinking the notion of wanting her executed impractical, asking why the Church felt the need to drag her to the Capital and whether they wanted to turn her or not. Schirach replies that she doesn't know because she was just following the Pope's orders and doesn't want to question them: "Capture Spiritia unharmed." "Capture all Magi within Imperial borders unharmed." Schirach considers the orders she was given without bloodshed to be boring, but says that at least Pamela, Recht, and Link enjoyed it, which she considers creepy. Schirach decides to deliver her notice to the Pope now that her job is done, wondering what's next on the docket for her. Freudia tells Schirach that Doris is waiting for her, to which she replies that she's learned all she can from her though she hopes she can visit and decides to see what happens when and if she sees her. Schirach gives her goodbyes to Freudia and suggests that they break a few bones next time they meet, and Freudia says she thinks she'll pass.

The dialogue after the battle should she be chosen after Recht and Link have been defeated is mostly the same, but with a few differences. Schirach is able to reveal that she's 5'8" feet tall and is about to reveal her measurements before Freudia interrupts her to ask how many people are in Schwarzkreuz. After Schirach tells her that the organization has five members, Freudia asks her if it includes Link as well, prompting her to shorten the number to four. Also, instead of Freudia, Strudel is the one to say to Schirach that Doris is waiting for her. Schirach considers Strudel to be a strange one and says that Doris was always clingy and decides she'll wait for her to come to her, stating that she doesn't need to be coddled any more than she already has and intending to see what happens if and when she sees her again.

Rosenkreuzstilette ~Weißsilber~[]

During the meeting between the members of Schwarzkreuz, Schirach considers the Pope's plan to capture the Magi and throw them into camps to be a stupid plan to begin with. She suggests executing them instead, thinking that arson, torture, slaughter, and looting would be much more fun. She's willing to follow with the plan anyway, and states that she'll grab Spiritia, while Link says she should capture her unharmed. Schirach says that Link is always so quick to "scold naughty children". After Pamela suggests that she herself pursue RKS and crush its members personally, she orders Schirach to join Eifer, Recht, and Link in guard duty after Spiritia is in custody.

After Pamela is labeled as a heretic and exiled by the Pope, she begins searching for the person who soiled her name. To this end, she meets with Schirach on the Battlefield, who happily greets her there. Pamela asks Schirach if she was involved in her excommunication. Schirach replies that it's cute how clueless she can be due to her pride and asks why she would care enough to plot against someone who's not worth her time and whether she's going to "throw a tantrum now that she's been grounded". Pamela attempts to remind Schirach that they fought together as comrades beforehand and accuses her of betraying her. Schirach laughs at the thought and says Pamela doesn't understand how many people are in Schwarzkreuz, which is three of them plus one, stating that all members have secrets unknown to the others and goals that might deviate from the cause Pamela has in mind, such as Eifer being a homunculus and Link being Recht's imaginary friend. Schirach questions whether Pamela believed everyone in Schwarzkreuz was conspiring against her and says she needs to get over her obsession with status, saying that it didn't bother them that she fell from grace and that they didn't betray her, they just didn't care. Pamela asks Schirach if she's saying she was making a fool of herself, while Schirach asks her if she happened to meet Doris. Pamela asks Schirach how she knew about Doris, to which the latter replies that she and RKS have been friends for a while now. Now breaking down in tears and left in disbelief, Pamela calls Schirach an utter disgrace, accusing her of playing her for a fool while calling herself daughter of the noble House of Arwig. Schirach considers her family to be disgrace and says that she has no one to turn to; not her comrades, not the clergy, and not even her own blood. An enraged Pamela screams Schirach's name in fury and fights her from there.

After fighting, Pamela is lost in thought, accusing Schirach of messing with her and asking if she provoked her to goad her into fighting. Schirach replies that she swore an oath to Count Zeppelin that she'd give her life for the Magi. Pamela says Schirach's words lack the conviction of her counterparts and considers her to be a traitor who openly admits to her sins, which she finds uncommon. Pamela realizes that Schirach may know why Schwarzkreuz set her up and asks her to tell her what she knows. Schirach agrees but considers it to be her last job as a member of Schwarzkreuz, saying that the organization can't even "wipe its own ass" anymore and asking if it sounds fair. Pamela decides she'll just have to change Schirach's mind and declares her intent to rise again and let her know of her true strength. Impressed by Pamela's declaration, Schirach tells her to give it everything she's got, and Pamela says that Schirach acts as if it's not her own problem.

If Recht and Link are defeated before Schirach is targeted by Pamela, Schirach says how rough it is for her to be unpopular and asks her if she has such an ego because someone mistook her in the dark for someone worth pampering, considering it to be the saddest thing she's heard. When Pamela accuses her of betraying her, Schirach considers it hilarious how someone who knows nothing about her colleagues can lecture her about teamwork. Pamela asks Schirach if she knew the Refraktia sisters' secret, to which she replies she'd notice right away if she had any natural talent, considering her to not be worldly enough to notice, and also sees that Pamela doesn't know yet that Eifer is a homunculus. Schirach tells Pamela that everyone has their own agendas, none of which feature her, and states that no one cares enough to waste their time on whom she calls a figurehead. Pamela breaks down in tears and asks why she has to be played for a fool, calling herself daughter of the noble House of Arwig. Schirach pities Pamela, considering her to be all alone with no one to turn to now that she's been exiled and abandoned by her own friends. Pamela furiously screams Schirach's name and a fight breaks out.

The dialogue after the fight is mostly the same as if Schirach was defeated before Recht and Link, but with a few differences. Schirach happily compliments Pamela for growing up and becoming much more rational than before, causing Pamela to ask her what she knows about why Schwarzkreuz set her up. Schirach admits to enjoying making people beg yet doesn't consider the moment to be able to get Pamela anywhere. She tells her that while she may not be powerless, she always relies on the Arwig name. She tells her that she has what it takes to rebuild Schwarzkreuz on her own and that she should learn to fight her own battles. Pamela agrees with Schirach on that respect, deciding that Schwarzkreuz needs to be led by example instead of a mere name. She declares to her her intent to rise again and let her know of her true strength. Schirach, claiming that she made the whole thing up on the spot and that Pamela bought it all, thinks to herself that Pamela is simply adorable.

After Iris Zeppelin has been defeated and slain and Spiritia has been reunited with Freudia, Pamela finds her old and former colleagues, with Schirach being among them, welcoming her and giving her back their trust with open arms.

Boss strategy[]

Schirachslam

Schirach will jump and crash down with her Lichtfaust, shaking the floor upon smashing it with it, which can stun the player if she is still on the ground when she does so. By doing so, she'll also cause several rocks to fall down, the last one being an even larger rock that she'll catch, after which she'll leap up and hurl said rock at the player. She can leap forward and slam her Lichtfaust against the ground, shaking the floor again. She'll hold her Lichtfaust in front of her, blocking attacks and deflecting projectiles. Sometimes, Schirach will lunge at the player, and if she hits her while doing so, she'll grapple the player and smack her into the air with her Lichtfaust, dealing serious damage as she does so. This grapple dash however can be stopped early if the player fires a weapon towards her she'll instead stop to block. Schirach will leap back afterwards and move towards the player a little before causing another avalanche of rocks again. In Desperation Mode, she'll leap forward and slam the ground with her Lichtfaust, shaking the floor and causing several rocks to shoot out of the ground. Schirach can also quickly leap high up into the air and come crashing down and shake the floor with her Lichtfaust, which she will do three times.

Schirach was weak against Kopiekreisel in versions prior to 1.03a, which is learned from Trauare Wrede; however, she needed to be blocking when hit otherwise she took minimal damage. In version 1.03a her weakness was changed to Freudenzwinger, which is learned from Liebea Palesch.

Trivia[]

  • In response to Doris' [RKS-013] number skipping over three unknown members of the RKS, it may be possible that Schirach initially inherited the ID number between 010 and 012.
  • Schirach is regarded as one of the most difficult bosses in Rosenkreuzstilette ~Freudenstachel~, seeing as how she can stun the player character upon shaking the floor with her Lichtfaust upon slamming it with it, and her attacks can deal serious damage upon impact with the player, plus she is known for her ability to grapple the player upon coming in contact with her during her lunge attack and deal serious damage to the player upon smacking her into the air with her Lichtfaust. She was so difficult that she had to be nerfed in the 1.01a patch, as Kopiekreisel required the player to get dangerously close to her, opening them up to being grappled.
  • The Crane she uses to capture Spiritia has a face that resembles that of Dr. Cossack from Mega Man 4.
  • The attack where Schirach follows up an earthquake by throwing a huge rock directly at the player is likely a reference to Guts Man of the first Mega Man game.
  • In the 1.01a patch, the damage Schirach's grapple attack does was halved and her weakness was reassigned.
